Privacy policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

SolvSpot("we") respects your privacy. This page summarizes what we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

When you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email, the description of your project, your budget range, and your timeline. We use this only to reply to your inquiry and scope your project. The contact form data is delivered to our operator inbox via SMTP and is not shared with third parties.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (operated by Google LLC, acting as our data processor) to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. GA4 may set the following first-party cookies on your browser: _ga and _ga_<container>. These cookies record an anonymous identifier and aggregate behavior signals (page views, time on page, click events). IP addresses are anonymized before storage.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. By default, analytics cookies are granted on your first visit so we can measure aggregate site usage. Marketing cookies are denied by default. The cookie banner that appears on first visit lets you opt out of analytics, accept all categories, or fine-tune your preferences. Your choice is remembered in your browser's localStorage and persists across visits until you change it. You can change it any time via the "Manage privacy preferences" link in the footer.

If you opt out of analytics, GA4 receives cookieless "pings" that allow aggregate counts but cannot identify you across sessions or sites.

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies today. The "Marketing" toggle in the cookie banner is a placeholder for future ad-attribution tags (e.g. LinkedIn, Reddit) — until those ship, the toggle has no effect even if you accept it.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool that runs alongside GA4. Ahrefs sets no cookiesand tracks no cross-site identifiers, so it's exempt from consent requirements under GDPR/CCPA. It gives us aggregate page-load and bot-traffic data we can't see in GA4. Data is processed by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) under their privacy policy.

The mood selector and theme toggle store your chosen palette in your browser's localStorage so they persist across visits. These values never leave your device.

Data retention

GA4 retains user-level data for 14 months by default (configurable in our GA4 admin settings). Aggregate reporting data is retained indefinitely. Contact-form submissions are retained in our operator inbox until manually deleted.

Manage your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time: . You can also clear our cookies via your browser's "clear site data" tool, which will reset your consent and re-prompt the banner on next visit.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right under GDPR to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you're in California, CPRA gives you similar rights. Email hello@solvspot.com with subject "privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.

Deletion

Email hello@solvspot.com with subject "delete my data" and we'll remove your inquiry from our systems within 7 days.
